Introduction:
David Lindstrom’s primary areas of interest are in the study of immigration and fertility. I recently completed research in a rural Mexican community on the history and prevalence of U.S. migration, and the impact that migration has had on local fertility behavior. He is currently developing a research project that examines the relationship between migration to the United States and local economic development in Mexico. He teaches courses on: immigration and ethnicity in the United States; on the relationship between economic development, population growth, and changes in environmental quality; and on statistical methods for data analysis. |
