Prof. West co-teaches a course Public Policy 170 "GIS and Public Policy" and also undertakes research on geographical aspects of public policymaking. Along with Jack Combs of the Center for Public Policy, they have looked at school enrollment patterns and what the factors are that affect decisions to enroll in private schools.
