See Current Fellows.

The overall goal of the S4 Graduate Fellows Program is to increase Brown graduate students' skill and knowledge in GIS and spatial analysis and to create opportunities for networking across disciplinary lines.

The Opportunity

Doctoral students who complete the GIS Institute or similar training will be invited to become S4 Fellows for the duration of their graduate program.

Benefits

Fellows have access to the full range of expertise, infrastructure, equipment, and technology of S4. Each S4 Fellow will be eligible for a one-time $500 travel grant to cover the cost of attending a national or international conference in his or her area of expertise. Fellows will also be invited to regular and special S4 events. Fellows provide consulting assistance to other students and faculty, and they may also be involved in S4 training workshops or future GIS Institutes.
