S4's affiliated faculty participate in the governance of the program through the S4Advisory Committee. The Advisory Committee is comprised of the Director and Associate Director of S4, the Director of PSTC, and all faculty appointed on S4 lines. In consultation with the Advisory Committee the Director may appoint up to three additional members from among S4 faculty affiliates for renewable one-year terms to broaden the range of disciplines and approaches represented. The principal responsibility of the Advisory Committee is to make recommendations to the S4Director on major budgetary, policy and personnel questions, to propose and approve new S4 faculty affiliates, and to conduct an annual review of S4 activities.
